News 05.23.2010 Training Pastors in El Salvador!

The Pastor Training Institute is resourcing missions team from Miner Baptist Church in Sikeston MO to train pastors in El Salvador during an upcoming missions venture.


They will be ministering in Central America from May 28 - June 5. Please pray that God would use this team in a mighty way to bless the community and equip local leaders for ministry that the nation would truly live up to its namesake as "Republic of the Savior." 


 


 


Here are some interesting facts about El Salvador:



  • It is the smallest and most densely populated country in Central America. 

  • It borders the Pacific Ocean between Guatemala and Honduras.

  • El Salvador's population was 6.2 million (as of 2009

  • According to a survey in 2008, 52.6% of El Salvador's residents are Catholic and 27.9% are record as being Protestant.
