News 06.6.2010 Steve Rogers meets with J. Hudson Taylor, IV in Central Florida
J. Hudson Taylor was the British missionary who founded the China Inland Mission, and was responsible for bringing Christianity to China in the 19th century. PTI President, Steve Rogers, just met this past Tuesday, in Central Florida, with his great grandson, J. Hudson Taylor IV.
J. Hudson the IV was born in Taiwan, and, through Overseas Missionary Fellowship (OMF), continues the mission work to China that was started by his great grandfather, and was continued by his grandfather and father (who recently went home to heaven).
The primary thing Steve discussed was our strategy to get the What Every Pastor Ought To Know curriculum translated and implemented in Mandarin Chinese. PTI's goal is to have this entire project finished by August 2011, as PTI has been invited to travel to China for a summit of Christian leaders to share our pastor training resources with them.
