News 10.26.2011 80th Birthday Celebration: An event to be remembered!
On October 16th, more than 350 friends, family, and supporters of Adrian Rogers and the Pastor Training Institute (PTI) joined one another in celebration to honor Dr. Rogers’ life and legacy at First Baptist Church Merritt Island for what would have been his 80th Birthday. More than the conventional music, cake, and reflection, this heartening event blossomed into encouraging moments of fellowship and melodious worship in good ol‘ southern gospel style!
To add to the joyful night, inspiring speeches from key note speakers like Joyce Rogers (wife of Dr. Rogers), Peter Lord & Joe Boatwright (Dr. Rogers’ lifelong friends) and Steve Rogers (son of Dr. Rogers and president of the PTI) tied the past wisdom of Dr. Rogers into the promising future of his legacy continuing around the world. Notably, Steve Rogers delivered the exciting news that PTI is launching the Adrian Rogers School of Global Leadership.
